Alphauserpoint Remository Rules

I think that Remository and Docman are the best download management components for joomla. Many webmasters who use these components need to manage permissions for their users, with this rule for remository you can integrate this component with alphauserpoint point system, so if user haven’t a number of points they can’t download any files.

Note that it is a hack core php code, becouse it requires changing the code of a php file to remository, so you should make a file backup before.

Alphauserpoint PhpBB3 Rules

For a long time i using joomla and phpbb3, now I have made different rules for the component alphauserpoint which give points for different activities performed by users into the forum realized in phpBB3 (3.0.5 version).

The rules are tested and fully functional with p8pbb bridges and jfusion (first is commercial but second is free). Please make attention to config jfusion well, if  it isn’t config well rules can’t work beacouse alpahuserpoint can’t work, Users to be simultaneously logged into phpbb3 and joomla otherwise the component alphauserpoint can not function, for more information please consult Jfusion Ufficial Forum.

Before installing the rules you have to integrate your site with the bridge component (p8pbb or jfusion), I made a movie to explain how to install jfusion. Install Jfusion phpbb3 bridge component

After you can install  the rules, inside the zip file you find a .xml file and a .txt file. XML serve to install a plug-in in alphauserpoint TXT contains the instructions to install the rule. • plgaup_newfilepost: This rule adds o remove points if user add a new file in the forum.
• plgaup_newforumpost: This rule adds or remove points if user adds a new post or edit a post in the forum.
• plgaup_newpollpost: This rule adds or remove points if an user adds a new poll in the forum.
• plgaup_newpollreply: This rule adds or remove points if an user add a new reply to the poll.
• plgaup_newuploadprofile: This rule adds or remove points if an user upload his profile.
• plgaup_newavatarupload: This rule adds or remove points if user adds a new avatar in his profile.
• plgaup_newavatardelete: This rule adds or remove points if an user remove avatar from his profile.
• plgaup_newpmpost: This rule adds or remove points if an user send a new private message.
• plgaup_newpmreceived: This rule adds or remove points if an user received a new private message.
• plgaup_newdownloadfile: This rule adds o remove points if user download a new file in the forum, it work only if user download file the first time.

Google Apps per Phpbb3

Ciao a tutti in questo articolo spiegherò brevemente la mia esperienza con phpbb3 e l’invio delle email con la funzione smtp di Google Apps. Scrivo questo articolo principalmente per coloro che come me utilizzano un forum realizzato in phpbb3 ospitato in un server condiviso e non riescono ad inviare notifiche ed email di sottoscrizione perchè bloccate ed eliminate dai sistemi di antispam dei gestori di email, hotmail prima fra tutti.

Il mio provider, inizialmente ha risposto ai miei ticket di protesta segnalando l’IP del mio server ai gestori di mail, in modo da eliminarlo dalle blacklist, il problema si risolveva per due giorni ma puntualmente ricompariva, allora mi hanno proposto di acquistare un server virtuale, poi invece mi hanno consigliato l’utilizzo di Goolge Apps e quindi di inviare le email tramite il servizio smtp di Google. In questo modo le mail non vengono inviate più dal mio server con il mio indirizzo ip ma vengono inviate dai server di google e pertanto non sono riconosciute come spam, o almeno, al momento sebra che tutto funzioni bene.

Di seguito spiegherò come impostare perfettamente il tutto, riporto le mie impostazioni che sembrano funzionare, però voglio fare un premessa è infatti indispensabile che nel vostro pannello di controllo possiate modificare i record MX e che abbiate abilitato OpenSSL, altrimenti non potrete configurare il tutto.

Per prima cosa iscrivetevi su google apps al seguente indirizzo http://www.google.com/a/cpanel/domain/new?hl=it vi ricordo che avete a disposizione due tipologie di registrazione una standard gratuita con alcune limitazioni (es. si possono creare al max 50 utenti) e una a pagamento con maggiori potenzialità…io al momento mi trovo bene con quella gratuita.

Una volta fatto questa accedete alla vostra area di ammnistrazione e cliccate su impostazioni servizio –> email –>istruzioni per l’attivazione della posta. Lasciate aperta questa pagina (servirà successivamente) e andate a modificare i record MX nel vostro pannello, vedi la guida alla modifica dei record MX una volta fatto questo controllate che siano ben configurati andando nel seguente sito web http://www.mxtoolbox.com/ vi riporto la mia schermata così potete regolarvi meglio.

Impostati i record MX tornate nella pagina che avevate lasciato aperta e cliccate su salva modifiche. Se tornate nella bacheca principare vi comparirà la voce in aggiornamento vicino alla scritta email, vorranno dalle 24 o 48 prima che il servizio venga attivato da google, se ve lo attivano prima siete fortunati.

A questo punto andate nel vostro pannello di gestione del forum e cliccate su email alla voce gestione comunicazioni, e settate i valori SMTP, vi riporto uno scrren del mio pannello di gestione.

Il nome utente è la mail principare che avete creato così come la password, controllate nelle impostazioni della vostra mail che siano abilitati l’invio delle mail tramite POP e IMAP, di solito queste impostazioni sono attive di defoult.
